Matra kulcha guide in Delhi
Matra kulcha ! The most delicious delicasy available in Delhi. The street food not enough people are talking about. Even though its available in every corner, it doesnāt get the respect it deserves !!
What is matra kulcha
The key ingredient is āmatraā often confused with ācholeā , another wonderful wonderful dish.
Matra is āsafed matarā or āwhite peaā
It also happens to be nutritious too.
How to Cook
- soak overnight
- boil with spices. idk which. google that.
- add nimbu for taste.
- Eat with bread, kulcha or paratha
Best places to eat outside.
Restaurant options
- Hira sweets
They are common and the price is very reasonable. Taste is fairly good, but they add a lot chopped green mirchi which makes it annoyingly spicy. It can however be removed..
Street Options
Street Tips::
- Can ask for low/medium spicy. There is salted only matra in a big brass utensil. I always ask them to mix 50/50.
- Ask for more matra, paid. The default quantity is very less.
- You can ask for a ārollā . Like āallo sabzi rollā, this roll is matra in a paratha. Make sure to ask for double matra, paid. Depending on the person, they fill it very nicely !
